Finally Got my Google Adsense Earnings! 25.06.09

See that?? I finally got my first payment from “the big G” AKA the Google Adsense program! google-screenshot_phixr

When I first joined the program, I honestly never thought I would ever reach payout. After learning about niche blogging from Amy’s Niche Blogger program, I started seeing pennies and then dollars coming into my account each day. (I chose to receive EFT payments and not paper checks, so the picture is a screenshot of my bank account.) Continue Reading →

Finally Made it With Suite101 - Another Residual Income Source 13.05.09

I’m so excited to have another writing site to be a member of! I have to admit, it took me a few tries to get on with Suite101. It was an adjustment for me to not write in the 1st or 2nd person and to write solely in 3rd person, but I’ve gotten the hang of it pretty quickly and it’s easier to write articles for Suite now. I Finally Got My Turn With Ehow :( 15.04.09

If you are currently a contributor over at Ehow, you know that they have been seriously cleaning up the site lately. I was waiting for my turn and it finally happened yesterday. I logged in to find that I was 22 articles short of what I had the day earlier. So I went from 212 back down to 190. Boo! :(

It’s a little frustrating but I can understand why they’re doing it. They state on their site that they want actionable steps and many “How-to’s” on the site are in list form and that isn’t how they want their content written. Continue Reading →

Earn Extra Money With Xomba 12.03.09

If you are looking to promote articles you have written that are posted online, one way to do so is to use Xomba. It’s a free website that you sign up at and you can then post articles (aka Xombytes) or links (aka Xomblurbs) to articles you already have online to promote them and all the while, Xomba will give you 50% of the Adsense revenue that each Xombyte or Xomblurb makes.

This is far from a money-making method that you can live off of, but it’s a nice chunk of change that you can make just for promoting articles that you already have out there on the net. Plus they’ll earn backlinks which can help your article improve it’s rankings in the popular search engines!

Here is what Xomba states about earnings: Continue Reading →

Not only can you make money writing with Bukisa, but you can also make money on your referral’s content as well. If you refer somebody to Bukisa and they sign up under you, they are now in your network and you will begin to earn 25% of their direct income - up to 3 levels.

Also, Bukisa’s minimum payment threshold has been lowered from $50 to just $10 so you can reach payout very quickly with this site. They accept how-to articles, videos, slideshows and more that you can earn money with. Your submissions to the site earn money per 1000 page views determined by Bukisa’s current index. An eHow Milestone: I hit 200,000+ Page Views! 22.02.09

As many of you know, I have been writing for eHow since July 2008. I dabbled and submitted a couple of articles and made a few cents. Then, as a regular WAHM forum reader, I came across WriterGig’s ebook somehow, purchased it, followed her instructions and made $25 on eHow my very first month - July 2008! ehow-earnings-pageviews

On February 20, 2008 I hit over 200,000 page views! To be honest, I can’t remember the exact number, I think it was 200,067. Today I’m averaging right around 1075 article views per day and I have 191 articles up on the site - trying to get to 200. I had to take an eHow hiatus for the last month and a half to work on my niche blogs, but I’ve written another 11 articles this week and I’m hoping to be at 200 articles by March 1st.

If you have not yet signed up with the eHow Writer’s Compensation Program, you need to. (Open only to U.S. residents) If you work at it, you can definitely make a nice residual income from eHow because your articles will continue to get views and make money for as long as they’re posted on the site!

It is important to not put all of your “eggs into one basket” though. Don’t fully rely on ehow to make money, but do put it a nice effort there and you’ll make some nice cash every month. Some other content writing sites that pay include Bukisa and Infobarrel.

Getting a .com domain for $0.99 is the cheapest domain registration I’ve seen and there’s a sale going on right now at GoDaddy Domain Registar. You do need to use a coupon code to get the special pricing, which will actually total $1.19 after the icann fee. Simply visit the link Continue Reading →

I know this is a tad bit late, but nonetheless, I’m here to report eHow earnings for December of 2008.

Interestingly enough, I added 43 articles in November and I also added 43 additional articles in the month of December. Weird. Anyhow, my earnings for December were Continue Reading →

My Personal & Professional Goals for 2009 05.01.09

2009 is finally upon us! I’m so excited to get the new year started and have made so many goals for myself. I’ve never before written down the goals that I have for the year. In fact, I’ve never made yearly goals before so I’m looking forward to this. I’m hoping having my goals posted here on my blog will help to motivate me even more to meet and exceed these goals I have set.

Post #100, Exciting Adsense News & Happy New Year! 02.01.09

First of all….Happy New Year everyone! I’m so glad this year is an odd number, I hate even numbers. I’m weird like that. Plus, I’m getting married this summer and I have so many plans and goals in place for the upcoming year, I can’t wait to get started on everything. Continue Reading →

I can’t believe Christmas is only 1 week away. This year has just FLOWN by way too fast. I have all my shopping done and I only have a few gifts left that need wrapping. Man does it feel good to be about done with all that!

Other than getting ready for the holidays, I’ve been busy at eHow (up to 151 articles!) and creating new niche blogs thanks to the Continue Reading →

Happy Thanksgiving! 27.11.08

I just wanted to wish everybody a Happy Thanksgiving!

May you all fill your tummies with wonderful food and sit around with family watching some football! I know that’s what I’m gonna do! =]

Bukisa! 23.11.08

I have recently been made aware of another website where you can submit content and make money! :) It’s Bukisa. Don’t you like the sound of that? It makes me think of the movie “The Lion King” when one of the hyenas kept saying “Mufasa!”.

I really love the layout of their site. It’s crisp, clean, bright and easy to navigate. I have only added 1 piece of content so far, but I’m already making a few cents with it so the website seems pretty promising. I’ve talked to other WAHMS who have started adding content as well and are noticing their earnings go up and up and up.

Bukisa also has a referral program, so you not only earn money on your articles, but you can earn money from the articles of people that you refer! If you are interested in joining, feel free to sign up under me. :)

Sick of Being Sick! 19.11.08

Well, the title says it all. I think I’ve been sick for a little over 4 weeks now. Maybe even longer. I think I’m finally starting to feel better though. I have had zero energy for the longest time and it’s so hard to get things done. I haven’t even been able to energize myself enough to work on my DIY wedding projects until this past weekend.

How has everyone else been doing with their wah jobs?

I have been regularly adding articles to eHow and I’ve been trying to do ChaCha too, but it’s been painfully slow as of late. Is anyone else having this experience? It seems people are either getting queries B2B or 1 every 3-5 minutes. Whatever is causing that…I’m hoping it gets fixed soon. I love ChaCha!

eHow Earnings: October 2008 =) =) =) 02.11.08

Just another eHow earnings update and motivational blog post for all of you eHow-ers out there! :)

For the month of September, my total eHow earnings were $29.09, which was the highest payout for me since I started writing for eHow in late June of this year. My previous eHow earnings blog post can be found here.

But…after adding a few more articles during the past 30 days, my eHow earnings for October jumped up to $86.03!

See proof:

I think I’ll be using the earnings I make from these couple of months to purchase Christmas gifts! I had no idea my earnings would jump up that much. So what now? I must keep on writing “How to’s” for eHow!

Quality Eyeglasses for less than $9! 28.10.08

Being able to see is pretty important. I’m sure I don’t have to tell you that but I must state the obvious sometimes because in times like these, having enough money to purchase a quality pair of eyeglasses may not be so easy, especially if you take a trip to your local eyeglass specialist. With Zenni Optical, you could probably afford to buy yourself a spare pair of glasses too!

My kids are still very young and their vision is still perfect. I’m so jealous. But I do know that if there comes a time where one or more of my children need eyeglasses, I would buy them at Zenni for sure. They are receiving rave reviews from the pricing of their glasses to their customer service.

Plus if you’re a fan of shopping online, like myself, they charge a flat rate of $4.95 for shipping, no matter how many pairs of eyeglasses you buy. Being that gas prices have been skyrocketing, a lot of merchants have been raising their shipping prices as well, which is understandable but sucks at the same time. With all of the online shopping I do, I think $4.95 is a great deal for shipping!

If you still aren’t convinced, read this newspaper article!

My Weekly Goals: Week of 10.27.09 28.10.08

It’s that time again…time to compile my weekly list of things to-do!

Here’s what I would love to get done this week:

  • My paper is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow for my pocketfold invites, so I hope to complete a mock-up this week. (I’ll post a picture when it’s complete!)
  • Bid on at least 5 jobs at Rent-A-Coder. I haven’t been on there in awhile. Shame on me.
  • Write up at least 5 articles on eHow. I’m up to 79 articles now. Woohoo! :)
  • Complete 5 articles for Demand Studios.
  • Stay sane. (We have all of 4 of our kids this week!)
  • Which reminds me…we have all of their costumes, but this week we need to find time to carve 6 pumpkins. Yes…6 of them! (I’ll be sure to post pictures of those too!)

Have a great week everyone!

Need Debt Consolidation? 27.10.08

Debt consolidation is a high priority for a lot of consumers these days. With food and gas prices skyrocketing, it can be easy to get behind on all of your other expenses. I have actually been considering some debt consolidation myself and I think I’ll start looking into it sooner rather than later.

Obtaining debt loans may not be one of your priorities, but if you consolidate all of your debts into one loan, you’ll have just one payment instead of managing several payments and you could be debt free in as little as 12-30 months. Plus you could shave off more than 50% of your current balances, avoid bankruptcy all together and best of all, there is no credit check. :)
