Ehow is starting to prove to be exhausting for me. In recent months I have learned that I have no idea what they’re looking for. Sure, I’ve had crappy articles deleted, most are from when I first started, I’ve had article requests deleted (which are checked before they’re published) and I’ve had really good articles deleted too! Of the 10 new Ehow articles I submitted last week, all of them are still live on the site. I’m hoping their new pre-approval system means that if the articles go live, they won’t be deleted, but who knows Read more…

It’s been a little over a week since I started my very own personal Ehow challenge. I love Ehow because of the fact that you can make money online from home (or anywhere) for writing “how to” articles and as long as your articles remain on the site, you will continue to earn money in the form of passive income. I want to increase my monthly earnings over there so in the beginning of November, I set a goal to complete at least 30 new Ehow articles in 30 days. I’m currently 1/3 of the way there as I have published 10 new articles this week. None of them are currently showing any earnings, but combined they have produced a total of 57 views. Three of those articles were published yesterday and have no views at all.
I have been using Micro Niche Finder to find some great Read more…
A new month means a new experiment! For this month I’ve set a goal to complete 30 Ehows in 30 days. I love the format at Ehow. It’s so easy to write and I can get most articles done in less than 30 minutes. I generally stick to topics I already know a lot about to make the writing process faster.
Way Back at the Beginning of the Year…
I set a personal goal to add an additional 222 Ehow articles by the end of 2009. So far I have Read more…
Okay. I am all about Ehow and I have honestly agreed with the articles of mine that have been deleted up until this point. The ones that have been deleted were deserving. They were articles I had put up when I had just begun my career of web writing. But this time…I have a problem with an article they deleted. Problem being: It was a requested article that THEY had to APPROVE before it went live. It was very well written, contained actionable steps that you could perform to complete the said task.
What really makes me mad is that Read more…
Okay, so here’s what has happened during the past few months. Ehow had their first article sweep when I got to about 220 articles, they then wiped out 22 of my articles. Then I got back up to about 212 articles and they took 18 more. More recently I got up to 202 articles again and then they removed 4 so now I’m back down to 198.
First of all, I wholeheartedly agree with most of the articles they took down. Truth is, they are all from when I first started writing for Ehow, before I bought Maria’s Ehow Ebook and before I knew much at all about SEO (search engine optimization). The articles I had that got deleted were Read more…

As many of you know, I have been writing for eHow since July 2008. I dabbled and submitted a couple of articles and made a few cents. Then, as a regular WAHM forum reader, I came across WriterGig’s ebook somehow, purchased it, followed her instructions and made $25 on eHow my very first month – July 2008!
On February 20, 2008 I hit over 200,000 page views! To be honest, I can’t remember the exact number, I think it was 200,067. Today I’m averaging right around 1075 article views per day and I have 191 articles up on the site – trying to get to 200. I had to take an eHow hiatus for the last month and a half to work on my niche blogs, but I’ve written another 11 articles this week and I’m hoping to be at 200 articles by March 1st.
If you have not yet signed up with the eHow Writer’s Compensation Program, you need to. (Open only to U.S. residents) If you work at it, you can definitely make a nice residual income from eHow because your articles will continue to get views and make money for as long as they’re posted on the site!
It is important to not put all of your “eggs into one basket” though. Don’t fully rely on ehow to make money, but do put it a nice effort there and you’ll make some nice cash every month. Some other content writing sites that pay include Bukisa and Infobarrel.
Welcome to December! A new month means an eHow earnings update! First I just have to say that I can’t believe Christmas is just 21 days away already. Time is going by way too fast!
I added a total of 43 articles in the month of November and my earnings ended up being Read more…

Well, the title says it all. I think I’ve been sick for a little over 4 weeks now. Maybe even longer. I think I’m finally starting to feel better though. I have had zero energy for the longest time and it’s so hard to get things done. I haven’t even been able to energize myself enough to work on my DIY wedding projects until this past weekend.
How has everyone else been doing with their wah jobs?
I have been regularly adding articles to eHow and I’ve been trying to do ChaCha too, but it’s been painfully slow as of late. Is anyone else having this experience? It seems people are either getting queries B2B or 1 every 3-5 minutes. Whatever is causing that…I’m hoping it gets fixed soon. I love ChaCha!
Guess what?? I just had to update all of you to let you know that I have made it to the 50 article mark on eHow! I am so excited! I know so many of you have a whole lot more and I hope to as well, but I honestly never thought I would make it to 50 articles!
On Monday of this week, I made a goal to write 10 articles and I now have 2 or 3 articles left to write in order to meet that goal.
Also, September has wrapped up and my earnings are the highest they have been thus far. I made $29.09 for the month of September. WoooohoooooO!!!!!!!! Keep in mind, that I just started at the very end of June. My grand total in earnings since I started is now up to: $126.94! (One of my articles was featured, so that gave me a $50 bonus.) So actually, my articles have made me $76.94 and I don’t think that’s too shabby.
Again, I have to thank Maria O’brien for writing her wonderful eBook, “How to Earn Passive Income at eHow.com: Residual Income for Web Content Writers“. If you are interested in making money on eHow, this book will give you the steps you need to take to be a successful writer on eHow. Just because you throw up an article, does not mean you will make any money off of it.
In the book, Maria shows you exactly what you need to do and what tools to use to help maximize your earnings. Here is the latest screenshot of her eHow earnings for proof:
If you’re trying to earn residual income as a web content writer, you would be silly to pass up Maria’s eBook! She tells you flat out, what you need to do and how to do it!
*I know the image is blurry, but she has made a total of over $4000 this year, making just over $600 for the month of September!
Thanks again, Maria!
Here is proof of my eHow earnings and I just started submitted articles that last few days of June 2008! It shows my current earnings through the middle of August. At the end of September I’ll post my earnings again so you can see how much they have increased!
I think a great deal of my success is because of the ebook I purchased from Maria O’Brien entitled, “How to Earn Passive Income at eHow.com: Residual Income for Web Content Writers“. Her book is amazing and tells you the many secrets to profiting from writing articles on eHow. Her ebook is more indepth than the eHow website itself! She really knows what she’s doing.
Maria tells you how money is made on eHow, how often to post articles and what you need to do to make$1000 a month or more in passive income. This means you only have to write the articles one time, and then sit back and collect the earnings!
It’s only $19.96 and as you can see from my earnings report, I made that back in my first month and I know it was because I applied the tips I learned from Maria.
Squidoo.com is another awesome way to make some passive income. I’m always on Squidoo when I have some free time. It takes a few hours, if that, to complete a lense and you can continue to make money with them forever. They are so many great lenses on Squidoo, I highly encourage you to check them out. It’s probable that you’ll even find some ideas for your own lenses to make some extra money from!
Also, after you have created one, I should warn you that making Squidoo lenses is very addicting! But the more lenses you create, the more money you can make! Feel free to add your Squidoo lense URL(s) into the comments section of my blog so I can check them out.
Here are the ones that I’m currently working on:
I would love for you to stop by by Squidoo lenses and rate them if you’d like!
