Ehow Does Not Want me to Have 200 Posts!
Okay, so here’s what has happened during the past few months. Ehow had their first article sweep when I got to about 220 articles, they then wiped out 22 of my articles. Then I got back up to about 212 articles and they took 18 more. More recently I got up to 202 articles again and then they removed 4 so now I’m back down to 198.
First of all, I wholeheartedly agree with most of the articles they took down. Truth is, they are all from when I first started writing for Ehow, before I bought Maria’s Ehow Ebook and before I knew much at all about SEO (search engine optimization). The articles I had that got deleted were not written poorly (though I do think I write much better now), but the topics were simply all wrong, were too simple to write about (making for very short articles) and some of them contained brand names in the title. Though they weren’t intended to be written as ads, they may have appeared that way because of the title.
Overall, I am pleased with Ehow’s efforts to clean up their site. I’m still working on increasing my article count and I’m not mad at Ehow for deleting over 40 of them. Now I know better. I write better. My quality is better.
Something that I find very interesting is that my highest earnings to date were $181 in one month. This was the month right before I had my first cut of articles. Now this past month (September), after having so many articles deleted, I made $178.05. Just $3 less than my best month ever. This really excites me because I now know that my writing skills have improved and my newer articles are doing really great because I’ve been doing keyword research and getting backlinks to my articles whenever I can.
Like I said before, I do agree with Ehow’s decisions regarding the articles they have removed. Now my very short term goal is to get back up to over 200 articles and STAY there!
