Ehow Experiment Update: Week 2
Ehow is starting to prove to be exhausting for me. In recent months I have learned that I have no idea what they’re looking for. Sure, I’ve had crappy articles deleted, most are from when I first started, I’ve had article requests deleted (which are checked before they’re published) and I’ve had really good articles deleted too! Of the 10 new Ehow articles I submitted last week, all of them are still live on the site. I’m hoping their new pre-approval system means that if the articles go live, they won’t be deleted, but who knows with Ehow.
Because of my frustration over there, I haven’t contributed any new articles this past week so I still need to do 20 more in order to meet this challenge. I fully intend on doing that but I needed to take a mental break after seeing another 15 articles of mine get deleted from the site so I have been doing other work from jobs that I have. I finally jumped to 205 articles and now I’m back down to 190. Every time I get up over 200, an article sweep attacks my article library. Makes me want to contribute elsewhere. Like Suite for example…
What’s really frustrating to me is that last month I had a record high month in regards to Ehow earnings and now this month I’ve been losing $1.50 to $2.00 each day since those 15 articles were removed.
Now on to some statistics (only for the 10 newest articles):
Week 1 Views: 57
Week 2 Views: 135
Total Views: 192
Week 1 Earnings: $0.00
Week 2 Earnings: $0.96
Total Earnings: $0.96
Only 3 of the 10 articles have produced earnings thus far and I am fairly pleased with these numbers since they are so new and I have yet to build any backlinks to these new articles.
I’m happy to have Ehow as a source where I can make money from home by writing articles, but once this challenge is over, I might concentrate my efforts over at Suite for awhile to see what kind of results I can get over there. At least I know my articles won’t be deleted without warning.
