Xomba Earnings After 1 Month

Just about a month ago now, I started a Xomba backlinking spree and I’m here to post an update about what’s been going on over there so far. All in all, I’m pleasantly surprised at my earnings because putting up a Xomblurb is completely easy and takes about 1 or 2 minutes to write at least 50 words of unique content. Sometimes I just copied intros from the articles I was bookmarking, but I would say about 85% of the time I created new content just for the Xomblurb.

What I’ve learned is that it seems like when you first put up the links you get clicks, but then if you don’t submit any new ones for awhile the impressions and clicks seem to go way down. I haven’t added any new Xomblurbs in January at all and I haven’t had any clicks, though I’ve had a few impressions. I would normally still be bookmarking regularly, but on January 1st I started the new Ezine Articles challenge so I’ve been concentrating on that. There will be an update about that soon!

Here’s the stats from 1 month over at Xomba

Total Xombytes Added: 1

Total Xomblurbs Added: 166 (I started my experiment with 6 that I had added in early 2009, so I have a total of 172 Xomblurbs)

Total Earnings for December: $12.21

I’ve decided I’m going to continue to use Xomba because it’s nice to get the opportunity to make a little money just for gaining a backlink to a website or article that will help out in the long run. I’m all about getting paid to promote my own things online.

Well done on the success of your experiment with Xomba. I’m with Xomba too. Have been for about 6/7 months but only really started using it properly a couple months ago. The Adsense earnings are trickling in. Like you, I found that the more consistent I was with posting, the more regular my Adsense earnings were. They’re not huge, but I’ve earned more on Adsense via Xomba than I have in the millions of years I’ve been with Adsense. I’ve also had surprise earnings this month from a blurb I posted some time ago (due to its relevance to New Year resolutions). You’ve reminded me that I need to get back into a Xomba routine.

Take care and have a fab 2010.
